Design your installation so
it makes use of only full blocks, which makes the job much easier. Begin
by mixing some mortar and adding an expansion strip and joint anchors to
the wall; then spread a bed of mortar on the floor. Lay each block in
this bed; then start the next course. Finish up by smoothing the joints
using a jointing tool.
Step 1.
When you are ready to start laying up the blocks, mix the white-colored
glass block mortar in a plastic tub or a wheelbarrow. Use as little
water as possible to make a stiff mix. You have the consistency right if
you can form a “baseball” out of the mortar. |
