Clorox Bleach. To create traction for a car or truck stuck in snow or
on ice, pour a little Clorox Bleach directly from the jug over the affected
tire, wait one minute, and then try to move the car. The bleach chemically
reacts with the rubber tire, making it stickier, increasing the traction.
Maxwell House Coffee. Unused cat box filler, stored in empty Maxwell
House Coffee cans, can be stored in the trunk of your car and used to create
traction under the wheels of the car should it get stuck in snow or on ice.
Tidy Cats. To create emergency traction for an automobile stuck in
snow or on ice, keep a bag of unused Tidy Cats cat box filler in your car
trunk to be poured under the tire in case such a situation arises.
