Clothes Irons > Spray Starch

Downy Fabric Softener. To make a substitute for spray starch for ironing, mix one tablespoon Downy Fabric Softener and two cups water in a trigger-spray bottle. The mixtures works like spray starch and also leaves clothes smelling springtime fresh.

Heinz White Vinegar. To make a permanent crease in slacks, fill a trigger-spray bottle with Heinz White Vinegar, spray the slacks, fold where you’d like the crease to be, and iron.

Kingsford’s Corn Starch. To make your own spray starch, mix one tablespoon Kingsford’s Corn Starch and two cups cold water in a sixteen-ounce trigger-spray bottle. Shake well to dissolve the cornstarch completely. Shake vigorously before each use.
