1. Sun box. Remove the top and one side from a cardboard box;
line the other three sides with aluminum foil. Place plants in the
box and set it near a window—the foil will reflect light, helping
the stems to grow straight in stead of bent toward the sun.
2. Heat reflector.
Conserve energy by taping heavy-duty foil to insulation board and
placing it behind radiators and baseboard convectors.
3. Foot warmer. Cover heated stones with foil, wrap them in a
towel, and place them at the bottom of your sleeping bag to warm
your feet while camping in cold weather.
4. Funnel. Roll a double
thickness of heavy-duty toil into a cone shape.
5. Wallpaper. Cut toil
into 1-foot squares; coat one side with
wallpaper paste and apply in a haphazard,
over lapping fashion.
6. Specialty cake pans. Make a teddy bear birthday cake,
Valentine heart cake, Christmas tree cake, or whatever shape cake
you wish by forming a double thickness of heavy- duty foil into the
desired contour with in a large cake pan.
7. Fishing lure. Wrap
foil around a hook or safety pin. Fringe the foil so that it covers
the hook and wiggles as the line is reeled in.
8. Reflector. Glue foil to a mat board or heavy cardboard to
make a reflector for photography. Make three identical panels and
hinge or tape them together so that the reflector stands upright and
is easy to carry.
9. Platter. Make a
convenient disposable dish for picnics by
covering a piece of cardboard with heavy-duty aluminum foil.
