decorations. Paint caps gold, drill a hole in each one, and hang
on the Christmas tree with string or a hook.
Or knot each on a string to make a garland.
2. Fish scaler. Nail caps, fluted
side up, onto a 3- x 4-inch block of wood. Run the block up and down
a fish to rid it of scales.
3. Mini paint can. Mix
small amounts of touch-up paint in a bottle cap.
4. Bird chaser. String
caps together and hang them in the garden. Birds will be frightened
by the reflection.
5. Kids’ cola beads.
Paint bottle caps, punch a hole in the center of each, and string
them together on a piece of thin elastic or ribbon.
6. Trap. Fill with ant
or roach bait and set out where pests congregate.
7. Mud scraper. For a
doormat” that will scrape off even the stubbornest mud, glue or nail
bottle caps side by side, smooth side down, on a piece of plywood.
