1. Wreath. Dry your gardenís prettiest flowers, wrap clusters
of three to five stems with wire, and attach to a straw wreath.
2. Potpourri. Dry garden flowers
place in an airtight container along with a few crushed fragrant
leaves and spices and a drop or two of aromatic oil.
3. Salad makings. In summer, put pansies,
nasturtiums, violets, and rose petals, as well as the leaves of
peonies and carnations, in your salads.
4. Cake decorations. Dip fresh violet or
rose petals in egg white, then place in a saucer of confectionerís
sugar; let dry on a wire rack, then arrange decoratively on your
