Kitchenware > Copper Pots

Al Steak Sauce. To remove tarnish from copper pots, rub Al Steak Sauce on the tarnish with a soft cloth. The acid from the tomato puree combined with the vinegar removes tarnish.

Heinz Ketchup. Remove tarnish from the bottom of a copper pot or pan by covering the copper with Heinz Ketchup. Let sit for ten minutes. Then rinse off the pot or pan under running water. The acids from the tomatoes and the vinegar in the ketchup gently devour the tarnish.

Huntís Tomato Paste. Coat the copper pot with Huntís Tomato Paste, let sit for ten minutes, and rinse off the tomato paste under running water. The acids from the tomatoes gently eliminate the tarnish.

Gold Medal Flour, Morton Salt, and Heinz White Vinegar. In a bowl, mix one tablespoon Gold Medal Flour, one table spoon Morton Salt, and one tablespoon Heinz White Vinegar to make a paste. Spread a thick coat of this paste on the cop per and let dry, then rinse and wipe clean.

Lea & Perrins Worcestershire Sauce. With a soft cloth, rub Lea & Perrins Worcestershire Sauce on the tarnish to remove it.

Morton Salt and ReaLemon. Mix one tablespoon Morton Salt and two tablespoons ReaLemon lemon juice and rub the mix ture into the copper until it sparkles shiny clean. The chemical reaction cleans the cooper instantly.

Tabasco Pepper Sauce. To remove tarnish from copper pots, rub Tabasco Pepper Sauce on the tarnish with a soft cloth. The various acids in the sauce clean tarnish.
