Shortening. To revitalize a wooden salad bowl, rub Crisco
All-Vegetable Shortening all over the inside and outside of the
bowl, let sit overnight, and then remove the excess shortening by
buffing with a paper towel. The shortening seals the wood.
Pam Cooking Spray and
Bounty Paper Towels. To preserve a wooden salad bowl, spray
the bowl with Pam Cooking Spray, use a sheet of Bounty Paper Towel
to rub the oil into the wood, then wipe clean.
Reynolds Cut-Rite Wax
Paper. To restore the lustre to a wooden salad bowl, wash and
dry the bowl completely, then rub the entire bowl with a sheet of
Reynolds Cut-Rite Wax Paper.
Wesson Corn Oil and Bounty
Paper Towels. To preserve a wooden salad bowl, put a few
drops of Wesson Corn Oil on a sheet of Bounty Paper Towel, rub it
into the wood, and then wipe clean.
