Step 2. Carefully measure
the location of obstructions, like this electrical outlet, and cut
out the hole with a saber saw. Check the panel for proper fit,
remove it, and apply construction adhesive to the studs.
Step 3. Press the cut
sheet against the wall, making sure it fits over the outlet box.
Attach it using nails colored to match the paneling. Drive these
into the wall studs, but don’t set the nail heads below the surface.
Step 4. Finish the
paneling job by installing trim that’s stained to match the
paneling. Add baseboards and shoe molding to the floor and casing
boards around any windows and doors.
