Arm & Hammer Baking Soda. To weather replaced portions of a deck, mix one cup Arm & Hammer Baking Soda and one gallon water, apply to the wood, let dry, and rinse clean. Then apply a water sealant to the wood.

Clorox Bleach. To restore a weathered wooden deck to its original condition (without having to paint it), put on protective eyewear, rubber gloves, boots, and rain gear, and spray full-strength Clorox Bleach directly on the wood surfaces using a garden pressure sprayer. The bleach makes the wood look brand new again.

Heinz White Vinegar. To clean mildew stains from a wooden deck, spray the deck with undiluted Heinz White Vinegar, let sit for one hour, and then rinse clean.
